New Years Wedding!

What better way to start the New Year than with a Wedding! Ok Ok, I’ve actually heard mixed reviews about doing weddings on holidays, but I actually think it’s kinda fun. Especially New Year when people are always looking for a fun event to go to, just make sure its a late wedding, you’ll want all your guest to be able to ring in the New Year at your wedding with a kiss!

No White Wedding Dresses

Does anyone remember that Tea? Yogurt? Coffee? commercial a long time ago about “being unique” and the woman says “my wedding dress? Not white” and she’s in a field and she’s wearing a big pale green wedding dress. I LOVED that dress. I remember telling myself, that I too would not have a white dress.

In the end, budget, time and actually remembering that I didn’t want a white dress all played a part and I wore an ivory colored dress. Oh well. I still am MADLY in love with colored dresses! (click photo for source)

Hope everyone had a great holiday. Any new engagements? Happy planning!

Wedding Cookies

Tomorrow I’m baking cookies for my families Christmas Eve celebration. I will be making two family favorites, Thumbprint Cookies (with homemade raspberry jam) and Almond Roca! My husband also LOVES cookies, all cookies, anytime. I think cookies at a wedding can be great for a dessert bar, a Favor, a kids treat, or just a cute way to show off your colors! Not to mention a pretty easy and affordable treat.

Below are some of my favorite ways to have COOKIES at your wedding (click photos for source)

Girlscout Cookie cake! Amazing!

Ok, all these cookies have made me hungry, so I’m going to go to bed so I don’t start hunting through my cupboards for sweets!
