CEREMONY
RECEPTION:
IN THE DETAILS:
These are great because they can be filled with almost anything. Flowers, little scenes, vintage items, photos. They can be modern or vintage, sparse of full. The one downside is they can be a little expensive. I would recommend doing 1 for every 3 tables, so as to not over do it. You can find these in lots of cute shops, but the best prices I have found are Save-on-Crafts.
I love vintage trophies and awards! They can be kind of tricky to find, and are definitely NOT cheap. Check out antique stores, Etsy, and Ebay, but be prepared to spend $35-$65 on each one. You can always re sell them after your wedding too.
Plastic Animals + Spray Paint = Trend of the year. It’s fun, modern, and can be super cute if done right. Collect all kinds of animals at thrift stores and spray them gold, white, or silver for super cute place cards and centerpieces.
Ok ok, this one may be a stretch, but for an ultra modern, dessert wedding outside, I love it! Using cinder-blocks is pretty cool too. Obviously quite heavy, but pretty cheap if you know what you are doing.
Ombre is the one trend I predict will carry its way into 2013 gracefully. I love a subtle ombre flower arrangement, Ombre vases, and ombre fabrics at your wedding table.
Despite that fact that I think doing ANYTHING extra in the month of December, let alone a wedding, is a wee bit crazy, I understand that romanticness of wedding at Christmas. You’re family is in town, people are jolly, the foliage! Oh the winter foliage, how I love thee! Just remember: there are only 4 weeks in December! Dont try to cram in too much, or every year you will find yourself not celebrating your anniversary, and going to another goofy work Christmas party. Needless to say, enjoy the holiday eye candy.
