Where to get married in Bellingham Washington?

I wanted to make a post showcasing some of the more popular wedding venues in and around Bellingham Washington. It can be so helpful to see photos of real weddings at your venue of choice, and each venue offers such a different look.  I hope this list is helpful for Whatcom County brides, both in selecting a venue, and possibly a wedding photographer. I tried to link all photos back to their original site (most from a wedding photographers blog post). Enjoy, and let me know if you got married in Bellingham and have another great venue we could add to the list. I’d like to do another one of these with more remote venues, but I’d need photos showcasing them.

Green House Wedding

My mom and I went to a nursery sale last weekend. It was kinda fun wandering through the big lit buildings full of beautiful plants. I’m a sucker for terrariums, and vintage botanical, and the idea of a wedding in a greenhouse just sounds so awesome. Of course you would want to make sure it wasn’t 1000 degrees inside, that would be unpleasant.  I know in Colorado there were a number of botanical gardens that people could rent for weddings, or you could always find an older no longer in service greenhouse.  At the very least, there are some beautiful botanical invitations, bridesmaid dresses and centerpieces out there to give you that greenhouse feel. Camp Wed

We are actually doing a wedding this summer that is a Camping Theme. It’s in late August so hopefully the weather will be nice so people can be outside and swim, and all that other stuff people do while camping. I wont lie, I’m not usually the camping type, Mosquito like to eat me alive, however I can appreciate that very family fun feel of camping. There are lots of great DIY decorations that you can do with this theme, and of course all the FREE nature you can use to decorate! And S’mores…yum.
